Dalai Lama meets President Nicolas Sarkozy in Poland

The usual protests were lodged by the Chinese government. Mr. Sarkozy was in Poland for a meeting with nine EU eastern member states on the bloc’s climate change plans.

I was introduced to the Waldzell Institute by one of its founders, Dr. Andreas Salcher, this summer. Waldzell has held yearly dialogues at Melk Abbey in Austria, involving thought leaders from around the world. The meetings are small and invitation-only.
