The Dalai Lama has met with French President Nicolas Sarkozy (BBC article), France currently also holds the EU presidency, in Poland. The usual protests were lodged by the Chinese government. Mr. Sarkozy was in Poland for a meeting with nine EU eastern member states on the bloc’s climate change plans.

Theme for Waldzell Meeting 2007

I was introduced to the Waldzell Institute by one of its founders, Dr. Andreas Salcher, this summer. Waldzell has held yearly dialogues at Melk Abbey in Austria, involving thought leaders from around the world. The meetings are small and invitation-only.

Lisbon photos and mp3 files

You can download photos from the three days of teachings in Lisbon in September. They promise to have an mp3 CD of the teachings available for sale, and free audio from his public talk. The photos are worth the visit to the site!
