In Brisbane, Australia, on the 13th, the Dalai Lama went to the zoo to urge kindness toward animals. At the Irwin zoo, a crowd of 5,000 turned up. The zoo is named for Steve Irwin, and his family showed up to welcome His Holiness and introduce him to a somewhat “lazy” koala.
